Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An immediate opportunity is available for a skilled Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN to support night shifts in a 13-week travel assignment located in Bruceton Mills, WV. This role offers a dynamic environment caring for patients with varying acuity levels including progressive care and telemetry. Exceptional nursing expertise in stepdown care, telemetry monitoring, and IV management is essential. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care on a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit during night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret strips accurately to assess patient status Perform IV starts and administer medications safely Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4, flexible up to 1:5 during emergencies Adhere to established protocols and standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes Qualifications and Experience: Current RN license Minimum 1.5 to 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in MS/Telemetry and 2 years in Stepdown units Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and performing IV starts Certification in BCLS and ACLS required Familiarity with the Cerner EMR system preferred Travel nursing experience is not required but is welcome Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, typically weekdays with some weekends, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend block schedules (FriSun or SatMon) may be considered Limited Requests Off (RTO) during major holidaysno more than 2 of the 4 major holidays The Location:Bruceton Mills, WV, offers a serene rural setting ideal for professionals seeking a peaceful community while delivering high-level nursing care.
