X-Ray Tech Location: Tacoma, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,224 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Wednesday to Friday Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: WA State DOH Imaging License Certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT Registered Must-Have: One year of experience preferred in a larger fast-paced hospital Description: Candidates must have WA license in hand. The facility does not provide a radiation badge; it is the responsibility of the traveler's employer. Candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN within the past year with any associated facilities. The department includes 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portables, and 2 fluoro rooms. This position does not require floating to other areas; only X-ray duties will be performed. Common imaging procedures include portable X-rays and X-rays in the department and emergency department. The average number of scans/studies conducted daily can vary from 20 to 50. The department utilizes McKesson PACS and EPIC for electronic medical records and communication. Department-specific equipment includes GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu machines. There is both a day and swing shift lead; no graveyard lead is available. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized; transporters are present on day and swing shifts. In-house radiologists are available from 8 AM to 5 PM, with off-site reading thereafter. Starting IVs is not a requirement in this department. Scrubs are provided for the staff. There is a two-hour department-specific orientation with the manager, followed by two weeks of training with staff. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
