Ophthalmic Technician Location: Arlington, WA Agency: Pride Health Pay: $20 to $22 per hour Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pride Health is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support our client's medical facilities based in Arlington, WA 98223 & Everett, WA 98201. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details: Job Name: Ophthalmic Assistant Location(s): Arlington, WA 98223/ Everett, WA 98201 Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension) Payrate: $20 - 21/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience) Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM/ Monday - Friday (5 days wk.) Travel: Intermittent schedule changes between sites Job Responsibilities: Obtain initial patient assessments by recording medical history and documenting procedures in the medical record. Perform and document diagnostic testing including visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis, auto-refractor readings, refraction, intraocular pressure, and other ordered ophthalmic tests. Coordinate provider activities and help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Utilize AIDET principles to greet patients, answer questions during visits, triage phone calls, and schedule appointments. Administer ocular medications under provider direction. Assist with treatments and minor surgical procedures under provider supervision. Maintain accurate, complete, and reliable medical records. Support patient billing processes and complete and track referrals. Collaborate effectively with ophthalmology, optometry, and cross-functional department teams. Qualifications: High school/GED or equivalent. Experience working in an eye care setting. COA preferred, not required.
