Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer V Location: Redmond, WA, United States Contract: 6 Months Estimated Start: 03/23/2026 Pay Rate: $100/hr, W2 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Weekly Pay Job Summary: The Software Engineer works on calibration and data collection software used with hardware and robotics systems. The role includes developing and maintaining software (mainly in C/C++ and Python), debugging issues, supporting experiments, and helping move research solutions into production systems. Job Responsibilities: Maintain and update data collection software and hardware systems. Modify and develop calibration software (C/C++ and Python). Debug software and analyze errors. Support hardware bring-up and verify device functionality. Design and run experiments to test product quality. Work with robotics systems and automation processes. Perform device calibration and operate test equipment. Troubleshoot Linux and system-level issues. Document processes and support project planning. Must-Have Skills: Strong C/C++ programming skills. Basic knowledge of Python or Bash scripting. Familiarity with Linux systems. Understanding of basic statistics and error analysis. Experience working with hardware or in a lab environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with robotics or mechatronics. Experience troubleshooting Linux drivers. Knowledge of camera optics and calibration. Experience with VR/AR systems. Data analysis and visualization skills. Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, Or relevant technical apprenticeship in electronics.
