Dentist opening in Washington _x000D x000D_Located in Goldendale, WA - 115 miles from Portland, OR_x000D x000D_Located in beautiful Goldendale, WA just two hours from Portland, is now accepting applications for a General Dentist to join our exceptional multi-disciplinary care team. _x000D x000D_The dental clinic is based out of the designated Rural Health Clinic (RHC) that is affiliated with the hospital. The clinic also houses 4 primary care physicians, 5 primary care mid-level providers, ExpressCare clinic, Pain Management clinic, Behavioral Health clinic, and Dental clinic. The dental clinic staffs one dentist, one hygienist and one assistant. The dental team primarily cares for Medicaid patients who do not have access to local care otherwise, as well as some dental emergencies that could prevent an Emergency Room visit. Completion of restorations, extractions and tooth replacement procedures. _x000D x000D_Requirements:_x000D x000D_- D.D.S. degree from an accredited university._x000D_- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration._x000D_- Maintain required continued education for Dental License._x000D_- Anesthetic endorsement._x000D_- Current CPR/BLS._x000D_- Current Washington Dental License._x000D_- Direct patient dental care experience preferred._x000D x000D_Essential Functions:_x000D x000D_- Provides comprehensive public health oriented dental services (consistent with the Department scope of work) to eligible persons to include: diagnostic, consultation/referral, emergency, preventive, restorative (operative), periodontics, and oral surgery services._x000D_- Ensures compliance with IHS; provide supervision to Dental Staff when needed._x000D_- Provides in-service training to staff as needed._x000D_- Participates in specialty clinics with other members of the health team (e.g., health fairs, preventive presentations); and works collaboratively with other members in planning to meet the health needs and compliance of patients._x000D_- Attends and participates in staff meetings, assist and work with supervisor in maintaining communication relative to overall operation of the clinic._x000D_- Participates in inter-departmental activities as necessary to maintain/promote high clinic morale, and thus ensures an effective organization._x000D_- Assists supervisor in areas of patient communications and reception area support as appropriate (e.g., proper appointment timing, chart maintenance, protocols)._x000D_- Assures that the clinic practices safe prevention and treatment methods, and scrupulously complies with recommended and mandated health-provider regulations/guidelines._x000D_- Contributes to the overall improvement of dental services and assures the highest quality standards for patient services._x000D_- Participates in appropriate continuing education opportunities, shares information/findings, and institute methods, practices and protocols, as appropriate._x000D_- Represents the highest standards of the dental profession and manifests appropriate caregiver demeanor._x000D_- Acts as a role model for, and provides information and encouragement to, those members of the patient community who may aspire to work in healthcare careers._x000D_- Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment and following safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff. _x000D_- Perform other duties as assigned.
