Summary of Position We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join our team within the Private business unit. This role will play a crucial part in a team responsible for managing and executing all operational aspects required for delivering best-in-class SANS Private classes to government agencies and commercial accounts across North America. Key Responsibilities -
Manage the customer relationship and their expectations related to private class operations, project management, student support, post-event evaluation, and other essential elements necessary for the successful implementation of SANS private classes and Cyber Ranges. -
Communicate timely, clearly, and consistently to ensure---all classes and Cyber Ranges are successfully executed. -
Manage and execute logistics for in-person, live online, and hybrid classes. -
Order courseware items such as books and media for timely delivery to the training location or individual locations. Ensure proper versions are ordered and delivered. -
Assist students with escalating technical and courseware questions. -
Communicate responsibilities with SANS teaching assistants in advance of class. -
Work closely with SANS Streaming and Networking Technicians to effectively run hybrid classes and any solve issues. -
Negotiate rental of external facilities, equipment rental, and F&B as required. -
Ensure instructors understand each client's needs and requirements before class. -
Manage and troubleshoot any class-related items and ensure proper resolution. -
Record daily attendance and report no-shows. -
Review daily evaluations and follow up with student outreach when necessary. -
Monitor live online training Slack channels - classes will run in various time zones. -
Communicate all student and customer issues with the Private Training Director. -
Ensure internal database/systems are maintained as they relate to ensuring proper execution of SANS' Private Training Classes: -
Upload the roster via the SANS e-commerce platform. -
Update Salesforce with student information. -
Maintain Smartsheet with all class information and completed tasks. -
Serve as the first point of contact for student concerns and ensure timely resolution. -
Create reports for management and clients as requested. -
Work to continuously improve SANS business processes. -
Represent SANS professionally to both internal and external contacts. -
Other duties as assigned. -
Manage and execute logistics for in-person, live online, and hybrid Cyber Range tournaments: -
Work in tandem with the SANS Cyber Range team and lab support services to obtain Zoom and VM links. -
Ensure laptop requirements are communicated with students and customers. -
Handle student registrations working with the Cyber Ranges Admin Console. -
Coordinate and run internal operations call to review logistics. -
Obtain post-event reports to provide to the customer. -
Update Salesforce with pertinent information (attendance, winners, prizes, etc.). -
Send post-event emails to winners and coordinate shipping of coins. -
Monitor live online Slack channel while the tournament is running -tournaments will run in various time zones. -
Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications -
BA/BS Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. -
A minimum of three years of event, conference, or hotel experience -
Strong communication skills without fear of over-communication. This role will require effective collaboration and coordination across internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbal. -
Strong focus on the customer experience and continuous process and quality improvement. -
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently, quickly, and effectively. -
Detail oriented, and able to meet strict deadlines. -
Available to manage virtual events in different US time zones, preferably located in the central or eastern time zone. -
Skilled with business productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Qualtrics, ServiceNow, Slack, and Smartsheet. -
Excellent people skills able to work well with others in a virtual organization. -
