MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to join our patient-first health care team in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. Our Radiology Technologist will be an integral part of our diagnostic team, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology to assist in patient diagnostics, contributing to the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care. The successful candidate will reflect our commitment to providing exceptional health services through empathy, respect, and professionalism in one of the region's foremost not-for-profit healthcare facilities. Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and disease. Regulate the equipment used to ensure accurate exposure and consistent quality of images. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining methods and addressing concerns. Maintain patient safety and confidentiality standards at all times. Collaborate with healthcare team members to evaluate image results and determine necessary care. Maintain radiologic equipment and manage inventory of related supplies. Participate in continuous education to enhance expertise and compliance with best practices.
