This role focuses on developing scalable and efficient geographic information systems (GIS) that support complex data processing and visualization for business insights. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in designing and implementing backend services that manage, analyze, and store geospatial data efficiently while integrating with various system architectures and APIs. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend GIS services and APIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS with other software systems. Optimize data storage solutions for handling large-scale geospatial data. Ensure system security and integrity in geospatial data handling. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, architecture, testing, and deployment. Provide technical guidance and support for GIS data management and usage. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Experience with geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, MongoDB GeoSpatial, ESRI ArcGIS). Knowledge of GIS software and principles. Familiarity with RESTful API integration and development. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithm optimization for geospatial data.
