You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Robotics Project Engineer & Schedule Management Lead in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IB-NDE Solutions Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Engineering organization designs tooling and complex robotic systems to perform inspections of nuclear plants globally. This role must be approached proactively by someone passionate about keeping work plans organized/updated and driven to keep projects on track.Your primary role will be as the Schedule Management Lead (estimated at about 25% of your time). Your work will include:
- Leading creation of new engineering project schedules in Microsoft Project
- Seeking out and processing schedule updates from a busy engineering team
- Monitoring project schedule float and providing mitigation recommendations when float becomes negative
- Helping to track schedule adherence KPIs
- Sharing schedule extracts with interfacing organizations like the Purchasing Department and the Assembly Shop
- Interacting with an in-house developed workload leveling and reporting software package called DEEM (you will be considered the DEEM Load for the department)Your secondary role will be as the Project Engineer (estimated at about 75% of your time). Your work will include:
