Overview: Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) onsite in Chantilly, VAThe ideal candidate will be responsible for information systems security engineering activities throughout the lifecycleClearance Requirements: An active TS/SCI with CI polygraphCandidates who do not meet this requirement will not be consideredResponsibilities:
--- Responsible for capturing and refining information protection requirements to ensure their integration into information systems acquisition and information systems development through purposeful security design or configuration--- Provide support for IA systems concepts, requirements, design, development, implementation, and/or integration from end-to-end, of a system or system component as required.
--- Develop and implement security designs for new or existing network systems to ensure the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address cybersecurity requirements.
--- Design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation--- Identify, assess, and recommend cyber or cyber-enabled products used within information systems to ensure products are in compliance with evaluation and validation requirements.
--- Provide engineering support to security/certification test and evaluation activities--- Ensure the implementation of IA policies into system architectures.
--- Provide support to efforts related to the system development lifecycle to include documentation and configuration management.
--- Provide technical support to cybersecurity incident responses.
--- Create, update, and present IA related briefings and other related materials to both internal and external stakeholders, participate in and support various IA IC forums and industry-based working groups.
--- Coordinates activities with assessment and authorization stakeholders--- Integrates security functional requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and documents using systems engineering principles and methodologies.
--- Knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls including software engineering methodologies, security engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure coding techniques and coordinates activities with assessment and authorization stakeholders.
Qualifications:
--- Master's Degree and 4 year work experience, Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of work experience or equivalent, Associates Degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent, High School/GED and 10 years of work experience or equivalentDesired degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study.
--- IAT Level II certifications Preferred: --- Knowledge of and experience with ICD 503 and the Government's certification and accreditation process.
--- Networks, computer components, system protocols, and COTS technology.
--- System methodologies including client/server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers.
--- Software integration of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products.
--- VMware, Xen, Hyper V, Cloud, and other virtualization platforms--- Education relevant to computer engineering, information security, information management, and/or computer science.
--- Experience in technical project management.
--- Technical experience in: Configuring and supporting, at a minimum, Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS.
--- Configuring and supporting, at a minimum, VMware, Xen, Hyper V, Software engineering, Program design and implementation, Configuration management, System maintenance, Integration testing, Information system engineeringWhat We Offer:
