The Chief Engineer is responsible for all mechanical and electrical operations, maintenance, plumbing, keying, lighting, life safety, and energy management within the facility. The Chief Engineer will oversee a small facility (13,000 sq. ft.) in Reston, VA. The base hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm subject to change as required, must be flexible.A typical day in the life of our Chief Engineer:Perform diagnostic and repairs on building systemsCoordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work daily to provide on-time delivery of contract requirementsPrepare and issue solicitations for the Contractor as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirementsAdminister the CMMS requirements dailyProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking softwareQualificationsPlease review the qualifications needed for the role:A minimum of seven (7) experience in a facility of comparable size and complexity requiring similar servicesProficient with computer -Experience installing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining all MEP systems and associated equipmentDemonstrate a working knowledge of engineering and building systemsAbility to read, review and understand blueprintsExcellent customer service and communication skillsMust be available for after hour emergenciesEOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledJob SummaryJob ID: 2023-3859Experience (Years): 7Company : Name Linked: Complete Building Services More...
