Job Description BAE Systems is offering an exciting opportunity to support an important and dynamic Department of Justice customer as a Senior Network Administrator supporting a highly capable and diverse team driving technical innovation. The SNA shall lead moderately complex network projects or phases of a large project. She/he shall coordinate work activities for a small group of technical/professional employees, or manages a moderately large, complex function. The SNA shall provide technical guidance and leadership; determines deliverable and work schedules. She/he shall act as Offeror's representative to customer technical personnel while leading Offeror's network requirements analysis activities, as well as Offeror's maintenance and/or upgrades to customer network operations. The SNA shall be responsible for ensuring Offeror meets established network deliverable deadlines and performance standards. SNA shall have demonstrated past performance of Leading teams of personnel with Network Administrator skills. SNA shall have senior level engineering knowledge in design, documentation and implementation of all Network Administrator skillsets. The SNA shall support the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Experience, Skill, and Education:*The candidate must have an Active TS Security clearance and willing to undergo a Counter Intelligence Polygraph after onboarding. Candidate will not be considered without it.Minimum Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with ten (10) or more years of work experience.SME Level: This is a senior level position. At a minimum, the individual shall have ten (10) plus years of experience designing and implementing internet protocol (lP) networks in a large enterprise size production environment.SKlLL Level: At a minimum, the Network Administrator, senior level, shall have demonstrated experience in: - Design and deployment of Software Defined Networking (SDN) to include Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP)
- Design, Build, and Maintain Firewall rules
- Design, Build, and Maintain Networking Layer 2 device configurations
- Design, Build, and Maintain Network device Quality of Service (QoS) policies
- Analyze and recommend the purchase of network equipment that takes advantage of any new technologies
- Proficiency in the integration of Networking devices and SMB protocols that allow advancement of storage technologies. Technologies such as but not limited to RDMA
- Experience with Cloud technologies and interconnecting existing systems into the cloud using virtual firewall appliances
- Communication skills in training and developing skills ofjunior network administrators
- Develop, implement and test changes to communication networks
- Installation and service of terminals, cables, and network components
- Resolve interoperability problems to maintain connectivity throughout the network
- Analyze traffic information and provide analyses to justify network optimization and reconfiguration
- Provide technical assistance, training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of communication networks
- Confer with and advise senior network administrators and system administrators on the management and functional capabilities of the networks
- Evaluate and recommend products and services from vendors
