Make that move with the Redhorse Cyber Analytics team and advance your skills working alongside a dynamic team of technical innovatorsYou will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on national security by advancing solutions that optimize customer systemsResponsibilities: The Database Engineer will apply knowledge of hardware and software products to maintain secure database operationsYou will evaluate database structure and specifications to recommend and implement upgrades and enhancements that support scalability and 24/7 operationsResponsiveness to ad-hoc requests to execute queries or perform data manipulation is critical to meeting the customer's data needsYou will also create and maintain database schema documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that adhere to security, regulatory, and legal requirementsCoordination with senior management, network engineers, other contractors, and vendors is necessary to ensure positive working relationships and mission successBasic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials--- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or EngineeringAdditional work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
* 5+ years of technical experience designing and developing database systems and supporting database operations.
* Experience managing and monitoring database security and performance.
* Experience tracking, managing, and fixing bugs or making enhancements to existing scripts or stored procedures.
* In-depth knowledge of SQL, OBA scripting, Oracle 11g or higher, and Microsoft Enterprise Server software.
* Experience creating database models.
* Experience preparing documents regarding database design, configuration and change management.
* Experience implementing and maintaining database replication and providing high degrees of network availability and data integrity.
* Excellent communications, technical writing, and team skills are required.
