Montgomery County Public Schools has an opening and is accepting applications for a Computer Technician - Chromebook Team.

The computer technician performs routine Chromebook repair and troubleshooting. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: completing assigned work orders, Chromebook repair, installation, configuration, assembly, and removal, installation and configuration of peripheral devices, general troubleshooting, and keeping current with technology hardware and software trends. The technician will be responsible for making a drop-off/pick-up route as least once a week. The technology technician acts as a liaison between the IT department and the schools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent - associates degree or higher preferred
• Knowledge of Chromebooks - repair and use
• Ability to identify and report technology issues to the appropriate authorities
• Ability to perform tasks independently
• Ability to promote and develop friendly technology environment in cooperation with end users
• Dependability and punctuality
• Experience with Google products (Chrome, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Must be able to complete task fast and efficiently
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
