Overview Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer III to provide software performance testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP)Nakupuna Consulting is extending contingent offers for this effort in anticipation of contract award, which is expected in May of 2024The Quality Engineer III will conduct quality testing on the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables to ensure optimal performance for the Army clientThe Quality Engineer III will be responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automatic testingThe Engineer III will gather and compile test metric dataUsing this data, they will draft reports on the functionality and performance of the software for AMP and will distribute these reports to the Quality Engineer IV and to other senior managersThese performance reports may also be delivered to the Army clientThe Quality Engineer III should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and when they ariseCollaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, and the Quality Engineer III should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teamsAs a senior engineer, mentorship of junior staff-members will also be part of this position, and the Quality Engineer III should be willing to coach team members across the AMP programResponsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assignedManagement may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.--- Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop and execute testing strategies for a product or release.--- Codes reusable test functions or components.--- Executes manual as well as automated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.--- Identifies, logs, and track defects.--- Reports technical issues to development or product management teams and verifies fixes.--- Performs work under minimal supervision.--- Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.--- Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.--- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.--- May act as a lead or first-level supervisorQualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferredMust have experience with Software Testing applications such as JIRA, ALMPeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plusSkills/Qualifications : Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams preferredMust be able to work independently and as part of a teamNeeds great interpersonal/communication skillsAble to translate customer requirements to team goalsClearance Requirements: This position requires a current Secret clearanceMust be a U.SCitizenWork Location: Work location will be in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia regionPhysical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.--- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds--- Ability to use stairs without assistance--- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers--- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations--- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer--- Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder More...
