Description:Our client is seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Supervisor at their food manufacturing plant located in the Williamsburg, VA area.This job will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee packaging, ingredient, product, and process inspections.
Communicate lab results and lead investigations for quality and food safety issues
Conduct sensory evaluations
Collaborate with production staff to address quality-related challenges.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain quality records.
Promote a positive Food Safety and Quality Culture.
Assist with 3rd party and governmental food safety audits.
Provide technical support on production-related projects.
Monitor adherence to GMPs and SOPs.Requirements /Skills:
Bachelor s degree in food science or a related field is highly preferred
3+ years of Quality supervisory experience in food manufacturing
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
HACCP certification is preferred
