Central Vermont Medical Center is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inpatient Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As part of the University of Vermont Health Network, our facility is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services centered on community wellness and individual needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medication therapy and overseeing pharmacy operations within our inpatient setting, ensuring both the safety and the optimal health outcomes of our patients. Review, prepare, and dispense medications and supplies following established policies and procedures. Provide detailed medication therapy management (MTM) and patient counseling. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide patient care that is integrated and compatible with the patient-focused medical goals. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose. Participate in the development of drug protocols and clinical pathways. Offer supervision and education to pharmacy interns and staff. Ensure compliance with health and drug laws, standards, and regulations. Participate in clinical research and review of care protocols. Strong knowledge of pharmacological substances and clinical pharmacology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to critically think and make decisions in high-pressure environments. Keen attention to details and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong leadership skills and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary health care team.
