All this, we do to provide an opportunity for a better future for all of our TEAM MEMBERS.Scope of Position:The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and oversight for the safe and efficient operations at our Swanton, VT location.Ensure daily production is started at the targeted start times each day, and there is a fluid handoff form sanitation & night cooking.Implement Lean manufacturing practices and develop and measure KPI s to drive continuous improvement across the operations teams on the shift.Our idealcandidate will be a result driven productionsupervisor with greatpeople andcommunication skills.This individual will be responsible for managing the day to day activitiesof a department within a food production plant.Responsibilities: Oversee and lead employee safety training and compliance for all employees on 3rd shift.Coordinate daily with the operations manager on the cooking schedule and expectations of each night and execute Plant scheduling of finished productEnsure coolers are organized and staged for the next days productionWork directly with the cook to move racks in/out of the ovens and coolers Direct operations shift activitiesacross the plant floorChampion leanmanufacturing training and shop floor education for the shiftReview and analyze daily production dataAlign resources to achieve daily work planAchieve operational goals regarding safety, quality, yields, labor and cost savingsImplement continuous improvement process to improve yields and profitabilityCollaborate with Superintendents and Operations Manager on new product opportunitiesCoach/develop workforce to maintain employee engagement and identify the next generation of leaders.Work Environment / Physical DemandsCompetent on computer, office software and associated equipmentSAP knowledge a plusWill work in cold, possibly wet environmentsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic understanding of meat processing, meat processing equipment and packagingPlanning and scheduling toolsTactical and planning executionAnalytical skills and team buildingTroubleshooting operational issues and implementing solutions.Bilingual Spanish/English or Burmese/English is a plusExperience / Work HistoryMinimum of 2 years - food manufacturingexperiencePreferred college or technical degree with emphasis on critical thinking Internal ReportsProduction Line employees and leadsReceiving and shippingExternal ReportsUSDAKey suppliersIf interested, please apply at jbssa.com/careers We offer a full range of benefits including health care, life insurance, and a 401 (K) plan.JBS Prepared Foods is an equal opportunity employer.EOE/Vets/Disability More...
