Utah Transit AuthorityAs a GIS Analyst you will: - Administer, manage, and coordinate various GIS applications, including establishing standards and procedures.
- Perform a variety of technical duties, including managing, maintaining, and supporting Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and its GIS geodatabases and services.
- Design and manage UTAs geographic database and spatial data applications.
- Coordinate GIS efforts with other departments and external agencies, perform geospatial analyses, integrate geographic database with archival documents and new field data, provides GIS training, and manage GIS services.
- Support UTAs GIS efforts by performing geospatial requirements and analyses related to land use, transportation, infrastructure, community regulations, etc. Uses standard GIS tools, such as ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
- Perform a variety of technical duties in managing, maintaining, and supporting UTA and its geodatabases.
- Assist the GIS Supervisor in responding to GIS departmental requests, which may include map and exhibit creation (web and hardcopy), data analysis and metrics.
- Convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical team members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a program in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field. EXPERIENCE:
- Three years in GIS Analyst or similar role. Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Must have a valid Utah Drivers License. Must be a safe driver with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years. Preferred knowledge/experience:
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS products including, but not limited to ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal and ArcGIS Pro.
- Real estate documents (deeds, plats, easements, licenses, etc.)
- Urban planning and design.
- Public transportation.
- Esri apps, including Field Maps, Workforce, StoryMaps, Dashboards, Sites and Survey123
- JDE technical skills.
- Laserfiche software.
- Intermediate scripting proficiency in Python, Arcade, and SQL. Abilities:
- Convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical team members.
