Key Responsibilities: Perform complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including ablations targeting heart rhythm disturbances. Manage moderate sedation independently, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Utilize Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system efficiently for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning. Conduct TEEs and other specialized procedures in accordance with clinical protocols. Maintain detailed case logs with a minimum of 100 EP cases involving ablations within the last two years. Support hospital consults in the cath lab, handling 3-4 per day, with an average of 4-6 EP cases daily depending on case complexity. Provide care for adult patients, supporting the hospital’s overall cardiac care excellence. Required Skills and Qualifications: Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Cardiology with subspecialty in Electrophysiology. Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to license. Valid DEA registration in Arizona. ACLS certification. Minimum of 1 year of electrophysiology experience, with substantial exposure to ablation procedures and heart rhythm disorder management. Proficiency in using Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system. Capable of performing moderate sedation independently. Nice to Have Skills: Experience performing TEEs. Prior experience with hospital consult management. Strong knowledge of Cerner EMR system. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completed fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine with subspecialty training in Electrophysiology. At least 1 year of recent, hands-on electrophysiology practice, demonstrating proficiency with ablations and arrhythmia management. Other Requirements: Availability for scheduled shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with possible overtime at 1.5x pay rate. Willingness to work during specified contract periods, including holidays. Valid licensure and certifications in Arizona, with reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses as applicable.
