Pay Information $2,254 per week About The Position Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (17:00 - 05:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid State License required at the time of submission Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP required; FHM, AWHONN Advanced preferred Must-Have: Strong labor skills Fetal monitoring experience Experience circulating C-sections Newborn care experience Description: This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Shifts are three 12-hour shifts per week. The unit operates as a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) setting. The nurse must demonstrate strong labor skills. Fetal monitoring experience is essential. Experience in circulating C-sections is required. Candidates should have experience in newborn care. The role entails providing OB triage, labor, delivery, and recovery. Nurses will assist in the postpartum, mother-baby, nursery, and gynecological surgeries. Ratios are 1:1 to 1:8 depending on the assigned area. The average daily census is 8 patients with approximately 10 visits per day. The unit has a total of 20 rooms and 21 beds. Every other weekend commitment is required. Nurses will float within the service line as needed. An intensivist, anesthesiologist, and CRNA will be on call 24/7. A hospitalist will be in-house 24/7. IV starts, triage, and circulation experience are required. This position is open to first-time travelers. Scrubs will be provided.
