Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN Licensure Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Transfer training - EMR proficiency Description: The inpatient rehabilitation facility is designed for patient recovery. The unit has a total of 15 beds and is staffed by 18 professionals. During the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 2 registered nurses, and 1 certified nursing assistant. On the night shift, the staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 registered nurses, and 1 certified nursing assistant. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1, with a maximum of 6:1. Key equipment used includes vital signs machines, transfer equipment, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech along with Pyxis for medication management. The ideal candidate will show strong teamwork and take initiative. Candidates must be experienced in transfer training and possess proficiency in EMR. Preferred qualifications include rehabilitation experience and familiarity with rehabilitation scoring documentation. Typical procedures performed on the unit include patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration. In terms of unit policies, bedside reporting and hourly rounding are required, along with ensuring bed alarm activation.
