Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years NICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care as an RN in a Level 4 NICU setting located in Helotes, TX, through a contract opportunity. This role supports respiratory therapy units inclusive of Pediatric Emergency, PICU, Pediatric Surgery, Oncology/BMT, and a large Level 4 NICU. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality patient care in a Level 3/Level 4 NICU environment, supporting approximately 92 NICU beds among other pediatric units. Utilize advanced respiratory therapy equipment including Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea Ventilator, V60 noninvasive, Vapotherm, Blender HFNC, and others. Perform clinical procedures such as nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator management, HFNC, bronchial assist, and arterial blood gas collections. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team across day and night shifts. Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU nursing. Required certifications include CRT or RRT, Texas RCP license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Ability to adapt and float voluntarily to adult respiratory therapy areas as needed. Strong team player with flexibility and effective communication skills. Schedule: Includes at least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (these do not have to be consecutive weekends). On-call duties may be required. Work Attire: Olive/sage scrub tops with black scrub bottoms; all-black scrubs also acceptable.
