Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive therapy services both in facility-based and home-based settings. As part of our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies, this role focuses on delivering personalized patient care aimed at improving speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The successful candidate will assess and treat individuals with a variety of conditions, collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills through diagnostic tests and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and doctor's recommendations. Educate and counsel patients and families on communication techniques and therapy strategies. Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient therapy and progress. Collaborate with medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists to develop intervention strategies. Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans as necessary and as patients' conditions evolve.
