As an RRT at Encompass Health, you will utilize your specialized knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care that aligns with our mission to advance health and well-being across our communities. Assess patient health status to determine the appropriate respiratory care. Create and implement treatment plans based on physician's orders and clinical needs. Manage ventilation and airway device therapies for patients. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and home care practices. Monitor and record the progress of treatment, adjusting therapies as needed. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate patient records and prepare clinical notes on interventions and treatments. Proficient in the use of respiratory care equipment and therapy techniques. Strong analytical skills to assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for educating and interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
