A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) to support a high-acuity cardiac surgical team in Monroe, Louisiana. This 13-week contract assignment involves working in two CVOR rooms and one hybrid OR, providing critical care alongside two experienced surgeons in a dynamic surgical environment. The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, offering a structured daytime schedule. Responsibilities include: Assisting and providing perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgeries Operating within both CVOR and hybrid OR settings to support complex cardiovascular procedures Collaborating effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes Maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to all regulatory requirements in the operating room Responding efficiently to fast-paced, evolving situations in a team-oriented environment Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience preferred Active RN license in Louisiana or compact nursing license eligible Current BLS and ACLS certifications Proven expertise with cardiac surgery procedures and hybrid OR technology Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a cohesive surgical team Monroe, Louisiana, offers a welcoming community with rich cultural heritage and southern charm.
