Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee • 48-hour orientation required • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Weekend coverage required • Block scheduling type • Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Work in 62-room emergency department with daily census of 190 • 3 years of experience preferred, no first-time travelers accepted • Will accept 2 years of experience if candidate has worked in high volume/trauma facility • Travel experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS • Additional preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, ENPC • Epic charting system experience required • Trauma Level II experience preferred • Must be comfortable with Level II Trauma Center procedures • Experience with STEMI and Stroke certified facility protocols • Skills required include procedural sedation, ventilator care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, arterial line management, and emergency medications • Must be proficient in triage, phlebotomy, IV management, blood product administration, and splinting • Handle various conditions including trauma, burns, overdoses, psychiatric emergencies, and multisystem organ dysfunction • Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Modules completed during orientation (average 2-3 hours, non-billable if completed in first 16 hours) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certifications, providing advanced emergency care services to the community.
