Compensation: $60 $80/hour + bonus
Benefits: Full benefits package Overview NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Abilene, TX. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy autonomy, variety, and a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work-life balance. Our providers benefit from flexible scheduling, no after-hours responsibilities, and a supportive clinical structure with accessible medical leadership. What You ll Do - Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret labs, x-rays, and other diagnostics
- Perform procedures including suturing and wound care
- Communicate treatment plans and discharge instructions clearly
- Document efficiently in EHR and code visits appropriately
- Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
Qualifications - Active Texas license (NP or PA)
- Board certified (ANCC/AANP for NP; NCCPA for PA)
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification
- Comfortable treating all ages
- EHR experience
- Willing to work some weekends and holidays
- DOT certification (or willingness to obtain fees covered)
Preferred Experience - Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)
- Experience with x-ray interpretation
