  • Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • ACLS certification (AHA only)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical/surgical nursing specialty (preferred)
  • Proficient in using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Ability to manage routine and complex care independently
  • Experience administering medications and monitoring for side effects
  • Competent in addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social patient needs
  • Capable of patient/family education and identifying learning needs and resources
  • Strong delegation and team coordination skills
