Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4 p.m., no weekends or holidays. A minimum of two years of experience as a generalist is highly desired. Experience with Point of Care is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills as this position will have the opportunity to train others in point of care testing. Position will support the continued growth and complexity of point of care testing by performing new instrument validations as well as scheduled testing to comply with regulatory requirements. Will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests/procedures as assigned. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science (equivalency required for foreign education) Licenses/Certifications: Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International), Certified CLS (ASCP), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) CM or ASCP Certification eligible.ASCP Certification Eligible:Bachelor's degree in Biological Science and - Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program within the last 5 years; or
- MLT (ASCP) certification and two years of full time acceptable laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last four years; or
- CLA (ASCP) certification and a bachelor's degree in a biological science and four years of full time acceptable experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last eight years; or
- Five years of full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last ten years. Principal Accountabilities
