For us, every trip is a big deal.Our API Team builds out high throughput, low latency APIs to connect our customers with the best travel deals in the industry.In this role you will get to: Participate in mission critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business. Be part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives. Showcase your development skills in Rust as well as other languages used at PPS such as Clojure and Ruby. Apply your programming skills towards building low latency and high throughput services with continuous integration and automated testing. Utilize your knowledge to understand our codebase, systems and business requirements to effectively make changes to our applications. Effectively collaborate and engage in team efforts, speak up for what you think are the best solutions and be able to converse respectfully and compromise when necessary.Who you are: 7+ years software development experience. Background developing in Rust or similar languages (Go, Swift, Haskell, OCaml, Clojure, C++---). Experience building and consuming gRPC, GraphQL, and REST APIs. Background in microservices, Kubernetes, Docker and developing for the modern Cloud, specifically AWS and GCP. An interest in being a mentor and influencing best practices with less experienced developers. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.The salary range for this position is $125,000- $160,000K USD.
