JOB SUMMARYThis position is primarily responsible for monitoring indicating devices that reflect system operation, and manipulates controls necessary to start, operate, or shut equipment. Employees normally work near high-temperature, high-pressure, and energized equipment. WORK SCHEDULERegular attendance and punctuality are required of all employees. - Career Path Opportunities RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and perform preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, millwright work, and MSHA safety functions.
- Prepare asphalt mixtures per customer requirements, load and unload tankers and monitor tanks and assist with paperwork.
- Ensure that lock-out and tag-out procedures are performed safely and in compliance with APS guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be proficient in English and be able to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and meet deadlines as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Self-starter who can operate without direct supervision, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner.
- Be detail-oriented, have steady hands, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to understand Company Quality Manual and procedures described and required.
- Ability to manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
- Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals); ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent preferred. PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTSThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.
