Full time DVM: Regional Medical Director - New Opportunity + Great Compensation - Las Vegas, Nevada area.A leading veterinary organization is actively seeking an experienced Regional Medical Director to oversee 20-35 hospitals in the Southwest region, with a primary base in Las Vegas, NV. The position requires frequent travel across the region. Candidates from Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Houston, TX, and Dallas, TX will also be considered for this role.The Regional Medical Director will be responsible for driving operational success, enhancing patient care, and leading clinical teams across multiple practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and the ability to provide mentorship, oversee clinical operations, and work collaboratively with practice managers, regional directors, and other stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: - Provide clinical support and mentorship to DVMs across multiple hospitals.
- Work closely with practice managers and regional teams to drive patient care quality and client satisfaction.
- Support hospitals by filling urgent shifts, reviewing complex cases, and offering clinical guidance.
- Analyze clinic performance data, such as revenue, visits, and KPIs, to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee practices' operational standards.
- Conduct quarterly hospital inspections and contribute to the development of regional DVM events.
- Complete at least 8 clinical days per month to stay engaged with hospital operations.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to implement best practices and resolve any operational challenges.Qualifications:
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school (or equivalent).
- Active veterinary license in the states where hospitals are located.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to work with diverse teams.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle a high level of travel.
