Director, Software Engineering, Cyber - Privileged Access ManagementWe are seeking a Director of Software Engineering who is passionate about growing and sustaining an innovative technology organization while fostering a culture of engineering and operational excellence in our Cybersecurity IAM team. This individual will be an engineering leader who enjoys solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment. At Capital One, you'll be part of a big group of builders, breakers, doers and disruptors, who love to solve real problems and meet real customer needs.The Director of Software Engineering will be part of Identity and Access management. In this role, you will focus on our technical strategy, multi-year roadmap, and collaboration across all lines of business. Your expertise in software engineering and knowledge of Privileged Access Management will position you to influence peer technical partners and business stakeholders.What You'll Do: - Lead innovative privileged access management initiatives and a team of developers to create solutions that help secure the needs for the company and improve the user-experience for our workforce.
- Work with Product partners, and deliver robust solutions that drive automated capabilities supporting Cyber and IAM.
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions for the privileged access management platform as well as other technologies.
- Lead complex vendor relationships and ensure well-managed integration of vendor platforms into our broader Capital One ecosystem.
- Develop and leverage trusted relationships across Architecture, Design, and other Technology leaders to ensure strategic alignment across key Cyber initiatives.
- Utilize programming languages like Golang, Java, Python, SQL, and Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities.
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
- Coach and mentor engineers through their career development and performance.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) with a focus on Privilege Access Management (PAM).
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
- At least 4 years of public cloud experience (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).Preferred Qualifications:
