The Opportunity: As a highly valued member of the Greenville, TX Team, the Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and modification of new and existing manufacturing equipment including building maintenance. This role will include maintenance support in all trades as required. This position will provide support to manufacturing maintenance team. Tasks include electrical wiring, electrical power-up, troubleshooting, and verification of machine settings and functions. They will complete the mechanical testing and preventative maintenance of all equipment onsite. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management. This position is located onsite at the Greenville, TX Plant. This is a 12-hour night shift position. How you will impact WestRock: - AC 3 phase motors and motor controls and conveyor applications.
- AC/DC single phase motors and controllers including servo drive systems.
- PLC and relay logic controls in various manufacturing equipment.
- Electrical power distribution systems.
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Repairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification)
- Prepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixtures.
- Troubleshoots motors, pumps, compressors, and any other systems in the plant.
- Operates scissor lifts and forklifts.
- Installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Experienced with 480 VAC, 3 phase along with lower voltages.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of DC and AC motors.
- Experience with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Able to effectively use standard electrical test equipment including voltmeter, amprobe and megger.
- Familiar with and able to safely comply with the National Electrical Code and other local safety codes, policies, and procedures.
- Able to read and interpret facility blueprints and equipment technical manuals.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively work within a team environment.
- Willing and able to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
- Willing and able to participate in safety programs and activities as required.
- Travel to other plants as necessary. What you need to succeed:
