Job Summary:The primary duty of the Procedural Nurse is to monitor and care for the patient during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. The nurse also acts as a liaison between the patient, healthcare providers, and family. The nurse is to be familiar with the overall function(s) of the Interventional Radiology and Vascular specialty. This position is located in Dallas and Arlington, TX.Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed.Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vitals signsAnalyze lab results and medical historyProvide education to the patient and family membersInsert and remove IV linesAdminister drugs, including moderate sedationMonitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedureOversee the safety and comfort of patientsProvide post-procedure monitoringOther duties as assigned within scope of practiceRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience:Graduate of an accredited nursing schoolTwo years of moderate sedation administration and recovery required.Two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab, preferred.Current license to practice nursing in the state of Texas.Minimum of six month of recent experience as a professional nurse.ACLS/BLS required.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reachingMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.StrideCare offers a total rewards benefits package that includes:Major medical insuranceDental and vision401kLong- and short-term disabilityPTOPaid holidaysNo weekends, evenings, nights, or holidaysExcellent work - life balance (Monday - Friday work schedule)Employee Assistance Program and moreby Jobble More...
