This crucial role will rely on your expertise to deploy highly available compute and storage solutions to help support the company's operational needs and strategic goals.Key responsibilities of the role include:Becoming the in-house subject matter expert on AWS Compute and Storage servicesDesigning scalable, reliable, and secure Compute and Storage solutions and architectures within the AWS ecosystemCollaborating with compute and storage teams to enforce strict security measures, ensuring compliance with internal policiesCollaborating with consumer teams to design and build solutions based on requirementsAutomating deployments and operations using scripting languages, such as Python, and infrastructure as code tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and TerraformDeveloping and maintaining disaster recovery strategies for solutions and participating in DR testing where applicableProactively investigating and advising on cost saving for consumer teams for new and existing solutionsMonitoring and providing advice on current and upcoming costs alongside implementing cost-saving measures where possible to optimize spendingStaying informed and actively monitoring AWS for updates to service offerings, reporting your recommendations back to our consumer teams and stakeholdersYou will be part of an exciting and challenging work environment, working with some of the best engineers in the industry.
