The Recreational Therapist Associate serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide recreational and activity services to patients. Associate plans, organizes and directs approved recreation programs, including such activities as sports, dramatics, games, arts and crafts to assist patients to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in group activities. -Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: -Previous experience (1 year minimum) in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
License: -Current unencumbered certification/license/registration preferred.
Additional Requirements: - CPR certification and non-violent crisis intervention training certified within 30 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. More...
