- Collaborative and positive team cultureResponsibilitiesRevolution is now hiring a Freight Procurement Lead to join our team. Though this position could be either remote or hybrid, this role must sit near one of the following company sites: Shelbyville, TN, Mesquite, TX, Little Rock, AR, or the Oakdale, MN. This position will manage and facilitate freight procurement for multi-sites. In addition, this role will be responsible for vendor selection, negotiation, distribution, and transportation of internal and external customer demand and ensuring that company freight and shipping milestones/goals are their highest priority. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of procurement and other shipping/warehouse department best practices and processes.
- Support multi-site teams.
- Lead and establish freight procurement and internal fleet scheduling initiatives.
- Segment, analyze, and develop a diverse carrier base by leveraging our internal TMS system.
- Assist in monitoring visible carrier KPIs and overall performance dashboard.
- Monitor, analyze, and react to market rates lane by lane, carrier by carrier.
- Providing weekly and monthly market updates on freight conditions and internal shipping forecasts.
- Partner with other internal partners to ensure early involvement and optimal procurement, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflows, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage any paperwork requirements from freight providers (COI, Certification of Operating Authority, Contracts, etc.).
- Must be able to collaborate and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Responsible for Ad-hoc Freight Procurement and Transportation administrative tasks.Qualifications
