Building Concrete Solutions (BCS), is searching for a Mechanic. We are a turnkey concrete construction company providing site concrete, foundations, tilt-wall, and elevated concrete services. We handle concrete material, placement, and finishing for new construction under a range of flexible project delivery models. BCS is your reliable resource for quality concrete construction. Job Summary The Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment. Duties/Responsibilities -
Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. -
Operates a mobile mechanic truck to repair vehicles and equipment at project sites. -
Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined. -
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes, check tires and brakes, replace spark plugs, and other similar tasks. -
Electrical system repairs such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights. -
Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. -
Perform further tests which may include test driving vehicles to ensure repairs are completed correctly. -
Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment. -
Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order. -
Updates maintenance and repair logs for vehicles. -
Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: -
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle and equipment repair. -
Excellent mechanical repair skills. -
Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues. -
Ability to weld and repair steel components. -
Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software. -
Ability to read work orders and follow instructions. -
Ability to use power and hand tools. -
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -
Ability to read service and repair manuals. -
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion. -
Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish speaking). Education and/or Experience -
Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record. -
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. -
Master technician certification preferred. -
Three to five years of related experience preferred. Physical Demands |
