Our Houston, TX client has an immediate need for a seasoned Senior Scientist/Project Manager. Within our Environmental Permitting & Compliance division, you will collaborate with clients to successfully execute projects within specified timelines and budgets, consistently surpassing expectations. We provide the flexibility to work either remotely or in an office setting according to individual preferences. Your contributions to the firm's success will involve:Close collaboration with fellow team members, attentive listening to client needs, and the formulation of tailored solutions.Leadership in rallying project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, and driving projects to successful completion, adeptly managing unforeseen challenges.Monitoring project performance, profitability, schedules, and ensuring the availability of appropriate resources for project completion.Assistance to clients in the development and maintenance of compliance programs.Establishment of strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through exceptional project delivery.Mentoring and training of junior staff.Execution of technical work and support for project deliverables on complex environmental compliance projects, including solid and hazardous waste management permitting and compliance, SPCC plan development, stormwater permitting, wastewater permitting, environmental compliance inspections, environmental audits, and compliance assessments. This also includes knowledge and application of environmental laws and standards, as well as expertise in environmental reporting (Annual Waste Summaries, EPCRA Tier II Reports, SARA Toxic Release Inventory Reports, Air Emissions Inventory Reports, Annual Compliance Reports, etc.).Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.10-20 years of direct environmental regulatory compliance experience.Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for industrial, energy, and commercial clients.Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring junior staff.Strong commitment to contributing to the growth of a client base through diverse business development initiatives.Apply to this posting or reach out to me directly with questions!
