The Senior Manager, Employee Investigations is pivotal in supporting GXO's strategic objectives through delivering solutions that support Human Resources and Operations Leadership in fostering a positive working environment for all GXO employees. The Senior Manager, Employee Investigations will develop and deploy solutions that improve employee engagement and drive compliance, mitigate employment risk and effectively address concerns while providing expert coaching and guidance to the Human Resources organization. What you'll do on a typical day: - Direct, lead, and motivate the Human Resources Business Partner team to deliver results by communicating GXO goals and deadlines; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying GXO's core values to inspire servant leadership.
- Partner with non-exempt and exempt employees to provide interpretation and compliance for various policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
- Recommend new best-practice methods, policies and procedures to create consistency while improving efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Lead investigative intake process which includes assessing reports from multiple platforms, analyzing the potential risk impact, and creating cases for investigation in EthicsPoint, the GXO's case management system.
- Prepare, coach, and develop Human Resources Business Partners in the creation of well-written deliverables, which includes investigation summary memos and other legal documents
- Assign, guide, and complete low risk employment investigations as needed.
- Present data analysis, design, and program performance metrics for to stakeholders (including Human Resources, Internal Audit, Safety, Security and Digital Forensics), executives, and officer-level leadership.
- Maintain and update investigations training materials and deliver training to the Human Resources Business Partner community.
- Lead and execute quality assurance audits/reviews to identify trends and opportunities.
- Ensure employees are treated fairly and in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct periodic reviews of GXO Human Resources policies and provide improvement recommendations
- Partner with divisional Human Resources Directors to support the overall efficiency of the investigation process. What you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources or related work or military experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Employee Relations executing and completing extensive employment investigations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess information and apply critical thinking to support the investigative process
- Strong understanding of core Human Resources employment laws including but not limited to Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, OSHA, EPA, COBRA, HIPAA, WARN, Workers Compensation, etc.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in handling investigations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and EthicsPoint or equivalent case management softwareIt'd be great if you also have:
