The Title Specialist will support our US division and is responsible for all aspects of title research in the right of way industry at the courthouse and online county sites. This role includes researching, documenting, reading and plotting land descriptions and managing a team of document specialists. Responsibilities - Responsible for all land title research, recorded documents
- Read and plot land descriptions found in documents, being comfortable with all maps related to tracts of land
- Define clear and measurable project goals and objectives throughout the project, as well as manage changes to the scope of the project
- Assist in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Oversee and assist in the development and delivery of title reports
- Manage the project's defined title processes and procedures and monitor quality control
- Conduct project reviews to determine status of title timeline
- React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad background and experience
- Be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
- Ability to communicate with well with clients and all levels of internal staff
- Ability to provide conflict resolution
- Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Qualifications:
- 4 year Bachelor's degree from College or university
- At least five years of Right-of-Way experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience, with at least 5 years direct work experience in title research, including all aspects of process development and execution of title reports
- Extensive experience in land title research, recorded documents, reading and plotting land descriptions, and familiarity with all maps related to tracts of land
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Word Excel, Google Earth and/or other map related applications
- Valid Driver's license
- Be able to maintain minimum automobile liability insurance in the amount of a minimum of $100,0000 (according to client requirements) Special Job Dimensions:
