The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members. In addition, the staff RN contributes to the management of the unit by monitoring unit activities and developing staff. -
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Basic computer knowledge
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Department-specific competency validation.
Acute Care hospital experience preferred, but not required -
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses: within 6 months of hire for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty then required to maintain course certification thereafter.
within 90 days of hire for new graduates then required to maintain certification thereafter.
within 60 days for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty then required to maintain certification thereafter.
