Position Description:As an engineering and technical subject matter expert, you will manage all network development and planning activities related to new market and near-net network expansions for Lyte Fiber LLC.As part of the team responsible for launching new areas and markets, you will be responsible for collecting data from various sources, including existing fiber networks, demographic data, competitive landscape, demand for various products, and census data. You will be responsible for formatting and analyzing data utilizing various tools, for example, ArcGIS, and presenting the findings internally. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping deliver Lyte Fiber's network expansion projects by controlling expenses, reducing CAPEX, and supporting revenue targets. This includes: managing relationships with backhaul & middle mile fiber providers; communicating with other stake holders and keeping them informed about issues and opportunities; producing monthly reports of capacity exhaust (fiber network); and creating business case to mitigate capacity challenges. Duties and Responsibilities: -Immediate Need - Able to perform basic tasks with GIS/ESRI to evaluate demographics, parcel counts, and other related information in order to stack rank geographic areas;
- Perform field OSP tasks to evaluate the constructability and viability of middle-mile routes; and
- Create PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings and present them for internal approval. On-Going Role
- Responsible for managing all aspects of route planning, network capacity management, and long-range network planning for OSP networks. This includes analyzing, designing, planning, fiber assignments, budgeting, or modifying network facilities
- Responsible for the design and cost estimates for new-build and over-build of OSP facilities, to include analyzing, designing, planning, fiber assignments, budgeting, or modifying network facilities;
- Direct interface to external communications vendors for circuit ordering, provisioning and installation coordination;
- Prepare reports and makes presentations internally to lay out plans and communicate priorities;
- -Assist in the preparation of the annual engineering budget;
- Analyze and identifies optimization opportunities to groom, replace or renew circuits; and
