Responsibilities:

--- Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
--- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
--- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
--- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
--- Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks
--- Draft correspondence and review demands
--- Negotiate
--- Manage administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of case progression
--- Perform legal research
--- Counsel clients
--- Identify conflicts and determine case strategies for successful resolution

Qualifications:

--- Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
--- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
--- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
--- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
--- Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
--- Prior experience working for a plaintiff personal injury law firm for a minimum of 2 years required
--- Prior experience negotiating personal injury claims required
--- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
--- Must be able to manage a high volume docket
--- Must be able to understand medical records and medical treatment
