DescriptionThe University of Texas at Austin is seeking outstanding applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Public Health Degree Program in the College of Natural Sciences.
QualificationsQualified candidates will have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., DrPH, MPH/MD) in public health or a related field. We seek a candidate qualified to teach a range of courses in the public health core curriculum. Thus, the ideal candidate will have broad experience in public health and specialized knowledge/experience in one or more core areas or disciplines of public health. Past experience in providing public health or related services is highly desirable; past experience in undergraduate teaching and/or mentoring students is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have: demonstrated undergraduate teaching experience (as well as mentoring student research projects and/or honors theses); proven scholarship and achievement; and the ability to work with a dynamic and creative team. Additional preferred qualifications include: expertise in curriculum development, use of innovative instructional methods, and grant writing.
