Associate Professor of Instruction, College of Sciences Integrative Biology Location: San Antonio, TX Regular/Temporary: Regular Job ID: 11601 Full/Part Time: Full Time Org Marketing Statement The UTSA Department of Integrative Biology invites applications for the position of a Fixed-Term Track (FTT) Associate Professor of Instruction of Biology or Environmental Science, beginning Fall 2024. The Department of Integrative Biology is looking for qualified candidates with expertise in general biology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and environmental science. Salary Range: Starting at $55,000 for nine-months (Fall and Spring semesters). Fixed-Term Track (FTT) faculty at UTSA are generally hired through renewable contracts. The primary contract would be for 9-months, with additional summer appointments (for teaching or administrative service) possible. Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, exempt. Essential Functions Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology or environmental science. This position would have a baseline teaching requirement of 4 undergraduate or graduate lecture courses in the Integrative Biology department each semester. Required Qualifications - PhD In Biology, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- 4 years of experience, post terminal degree, teaching biology and/or environmental science courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
