As a member of our fleet, you will handle the crucial task of shuttling products between our distribution centers and various customer locations, ensuring our reputation for reliability and efficiency remains unmatched. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods and products between various locations, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, and record any discrepancies or issues for maintenance review. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws to ensure safe and legal operation. Communicate effectively with dispatch and management to report any issues or concerns as well as to receive instructions or updates. Utilize material handling equipment to load and unload goods as needed. Represent Performance Foodservice professionally during interactions with customers or public while on duty. Proficiency in operating a Class A commercial vehicle and material handling equipment. Strong knowledge of transportation and traffic laws. Excellent time management skills to handle scheduled routes and timetables. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
