The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse will play a crucial role in supporting our cardiology department, providing expert nursing care in a high-stress environment and ensuring patient comfort and safety during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Administer nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular procedures. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and report any changes to the cardiologist. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent. Assist cardiologists during procedures as needed, including equipment preparation and operation. Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and their families. Maintain sterile environments and adhere to all infection control protocols. Participate in continuous education to stay updated with advancements in cardiovascular care. Proficiency in operating cardiac cath lab equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and treatment protocols.
